While Charlize exudes an amazing confidence, she revealed her insecurities to Modern Luxury in a September 2014 interview.

“I do not have the perfect body,” she admitted. “I’m always looking for things to improve, but I’ve definitely reached a point where I’m comfortable and happy with the way my body looks.”

The Monster actress also discussed her diet, stating that it isn’t too rigid.

“I am not one of those people who is constantly counting calories and doesn’t allow themselves to enjoy food,” Charlize continued. “I enjoy food, but I try to eat mindfully and be kind to myself.”

However, the blonde beauty explained that she enjoys hiking with her mother to stay in shape.

“I like to think I am a woman who is comfortable [with] and celebratory of my strengths,” the mother of two said of her high self-esteem. and revels in the characteristics that make me feel lovely.”

Nonetheless, the Tully actor has criticised beauty standards, focusing on how younger women are praised for their youth more than older ones.

“It’s ironic that we’ve built the beauty world around 20-year-olds when they have no f—kin’ concept of wisdom, what life is about, having a few relationships under [their] belt and feeling hardships,

to grow into [their] skin and feel confident within [themselves] and to feel the value of who [they] are, not because of a man or something like that,” Charlize said to Elle in August 2014. “And I think that’s such a beautiful thing.”

She then addressed the double standard that women suffer as they age in compared to men.

“I think people say women come into their prime in their 40s,” the Oscar winner continued. “And then, for whatever reason, our society simply wants to go… It’s like a withered flower. We seem to wilt for some reason.

And men are like excellent wines: the more they age, the better they get. It’s such a misperception, and such a missed opportunity, since that’s when I believe women are truly in their sensuality.”
