Why didn’t Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Jackson have children?

Though their marriage to Michael Jackson had only lasted a brief while, did the couple have kids?

Michael Jackson was Lisa Marie Presley’s second spouse.

The couple’s romance didn’t start until 1992, when they went to a Los Angeles dinner party hosted by a mutual acquaintance.

They had first connected at a Las Vegas event in the 1970s.

Danny Keough became Lisa’s first spouse after that. Although they became friends, they did not start dating right away.

Jackson called Presley one evening in 1993 and made a proposal after receiving his backing during the investigation.

In a quick 15-minute ceremony, Michael and Lisa Marie Presley exchanged vows in the Dominican Republic. Later, she confirmed her engagement to the public in a statement that she sent.

Michael and Lisa made numerous public appearances together. The most famous incident took place at the MTV Video Music Awards in September 1994, when the Thriller singer publicly humiliated Presley, alleging,

There were rumors circulating that they weren’t spending enough time together and that their well-known marriage was crumbling.


The pair added that they intended to begin a family shortly.

But there were whispers that Jackson’s drug use was the cause of their marital problems. The Bad singer and Lisa Marie Presley ended their relationship in December 1995, one month after Presley filed for divorce. In August of 1996, their marriage terminated in divorce.


Presley was the parent of four children from prior marriages, but Lisa and Michael were childless. Her children from her marriages to Danny Keough are Riley and Ben; her children from her marriage to Michael Lockwood are Finley Aaron Love Lockwood and Harper Vivienne Ann and Michael Lockwood respectively.
